This project featured the construction of a new Waste Water Treatment Plant located in Clarington, Ontario. L.J. Barton Mechanical was responsible for the Mechanical scope of work for this project. This included the plumbing system, HVAC system, rooftop heating and air conditioning, controls and insulation. This project required detailed coordination of the installation of the plants processing equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant, once active commissioning of the systems begun, Technicians accessing the site required Radiation Protection Training which was performed by AECL. As a Public Works Project, there were additional requirements both on site from witnessing of testing performed on site and through the office for additional documentation. Close coordination was required for all parties to ensure a successful completion of this project.
